Today in my workshop, I was asked about some of the blogging resources I would suggest. So I compiled a quick list here for anyone interested in starting a blog.

Services That Help You Get Started Blogging
This the platform that’s most flexible and allows you to use your own domain name when creating a blog. Free to download and use, but you need a host for your site. See 2 below.
2. Go Daddy
Go here to purchase a unique URL (e.g. your name.com) for your site. There are some other sites you can use to search to see if your domain name is available for purchase. This the one I’ve used exclusively over the years (just because I’m familiar with it), so feel free to use any of the other sites that allow you to purchase URL’s.
3. Bluehost
Bluehost is a site that offers to host you blog. If you plan on using your own URL on WordPress then you need a host site. Bluehost offers hosting as low as $5/month
The step-by-step guide listed above should help you get started. Hopefully, these resources get you on the right track.
