A very interesting infographic here. It seems like getting a bachelor’s degree is merely an extension of high school. Kids are almost expected to get a Master’s or Professional degree to earn a living. But they leave school in debt. See more of my thoughts after the jump.
I’m not sure what the answer is, but interestingly, some associate’s level degrees make a whole lot more money than those who graduate with a bachelor’s degree. It also appears that everything is bigger in Texas—including salaries. And who knew that air traffic controllers could make six figures? That’s crazy. Maybe encouraging kids to go to a four-year school shouldn’t be our default position.
What do you guys think? Is an associate’s degree something you’d encourage kids to pursue?
