A few long overdue updates for you:
1. I PASSED!
I got my Georgia Bar Exam results recently and I’m happy to report that I passed. Thank you all for your prayer, support and words of encouragement. With the birth of my child and working full-time while studying, I often ask myself how I did it. But we all know the answer to that question, right? Nothing but the grace of God. I am now licensed to practice in two states and we will now begin the process of transistioning to Atlanta.
Also, I’m going to be sworn in on December 14th at 9:00 a.m. in Brunswick. It’s a pretty cool little ceremony. So if you live in Brunswick and you are interested in attending the ceremony at the courthouse let me know and I’ll get you the information. I’m still on my social media unplug, so email me. Speaking of…
2. Facebook/Twitter Unplug
This is probably one of the best decisions I’ve made with respect to time management. I haven’t logged into my Facebook or Twitter accounts in nearly a month and a half. And I expect to continue doing so until the end of the year. This unplug has been quite refreshing and I look forward to what God will do in 2011. I found a nice little feature on my blog that will allow me to send my posts to Facebook from time to time, so I’ll send updates. Besides that, I’m enjoying my time off to read and reflect.
3. Video Series
One of the things I’ve been able to do with the time I’ve had away from social media is shoot a video series with a friend of mine. The series is entitled, “Moments from Matthew” and teaches practical lessons from stories in Matthew’s Gospel. Click here to view the first video in the series.
4. Little Scooter
Little J III/JC/Scooter is doing well. He’s now officially 4 months, 4 days old. Time really flies. He’s starting to laugh, swears he can talk already, and can now roll over (so no more leaving him on the bed unattended).
